Fair Trade Recycled Greetings Card - Happy Birthday

This Fair Trade recycled greetings card has been carefully hand decorated and has the message "Happy Birthday" on the front.

All the paper shapes are cut by hand and the details have to be applied with tweezers.

The textured paper is made from grasses and leaves which are gathered from the streets and gardens nearby to the production unit. 

As a personal gesture, each card has been individually hand signed on the back by the actual person who has made the item - something you don`t get with mass-produced High Street cards! 

The card has been left blank inside for your own message and comes with its own envelope.

This Fair Trade recycled greetings card was handmade in the Philippines.

Shapii started as a family business in 1987 in the Philippines, but has grown to employ over 200 people making handmade paper, cards and stationery items.

The employment it creates has brought real stability to the small seaside town of Salay. The production areas are light, airy and spacious and benefits include free medical consultation, dental health and eyeglasses. Workers participate in decision-making and have the option of becoming a shareholder.
