Shesham Wood Tea Light Holder with Brass Inlay

This beautiful, solid Shesham wood tea light holder is sturdy in design and has brass elephants inlayed, running around the base.

Production of these products is organised in family groups, machinery is minimal and most of the work is done sitting  cross-legged on the floor. Most carvers are Muslims and you can see this influence in the patterns of brass inlay. The families are based in a small town called Saharanpur, about 100 miles north of Delhi.
