Juice Recycled Lunch Bag

A handy and practical Fair Trade recycled lunch bag, made from collected juice carton refuse, thus avoiding landfills and creating quirky fun at school. 

It has a zip closure at the top and is perfect for school days or day trips and picnics.

Inside, there is one compartment, suitable for storing sandwiches, snacks and drinks etc.

Because it is made from recycled juice cartons, each product is unique and the brands / colours of the trim you receive may differ slightly from the actual images shown. (Yellow, red and orange trims are currently in stock.) The design of the case, however, will be consistent and each one is sure to be a real talking point amongst the kids.

This Fair Trade recycled lunch bag was handmade in Cebu, the Phillipines.

Dimensions - width 19 cm  x  height 18 cm  x  depth 10 cm approx.

This co-operative was founded in 2007 and is made up of 10 part time studio workers and about 70 home workers, mainly women who are all paid the national minimum wage or above, allowing them to support their families.

The workers get a bonus every Christmas, equivalent to one month`s wage. Their healthcare is also supported. These workers are from the Cebu mountain regions where work is difficult to gain.

The project supports both local jobs and helps to keep the surrounding environment clean as the materials used by the artisans is waste packaging that was heading for landfill. The co-operative has been funded by the UK and a French partner to purchase the sewing machines and cleaning facilities.
