Recycled Print & Black Resin Beads Bracelet

Recycled newspaper and print is enclosed in round, clear resin beads and complemented with smooth, polished black resin beads in irregular shapes. All linked on an elasticated band so will fit most wrist sizes. All very cleverly designed and constructed and making a striking fashion statement.

This Fair Trade recycled newspaper and resin bracelet was handmade in Thailand. 

A mesage from the women artisans in the Thailand team is "Kop Khun Kha" ("Thank you").

This operation consists of a small team of mainly female artisans based on the outskirts of Bangkok, Thailand. The workers are nurtured and supported, leading to a loyal and motivated workforce.

1o full time, highly skilled artisans work in the studio designing and making necklaces and bracelets, along with about 15 - 20 home workers who do the beading. Workers earn at least 35% above the national minimum wage, they get their lunch paid for and their medical care. The workers are offered good working hours - overtime is voluntary and never exceeds 12 hours per week.

Staff are involved in the decision making process giving them a sense of empowerment unusual for this type of industry.
