Van Gogh Bamboo Bucket Bag
Product Information
A bamboo Fair Trade bucket bag made using dried bougainvillea leaf, duku tree leaf, sunflower, skeleton leaf and daisy, giving a delicate, lightweight feel. The cream handles and piping on the bag utilise "recovered" plastic, which would otherwise have been heading for scrap or landfill.
There is a zip closure to the main compartment and inside, you will discover a plastic purse with velcro fastening, which is attached to the main bag by strong string.
The collection of the leaves is done by women from the areas surrounding Medan. These leaves are then dryed without the use of harmful sprays or chemicals. The dried leaves are carefully placed and seamed onto the bags by hand. Finally, professional seamstresses are used to complete the bag. The final result is that the leaves and dried friuts are encased in clear plastic, creating a delicate yet practical and strong bag.
It is part of the Van Gogh collection. See other products in this range below.
This Fair Trade bag was handmade in Medan, Indonesia.
Dimensions width 34 cm x height 35 cm x depth 8 cm. The handles have a drop of 30 cm approx
