Recycled Silk Sari Patchwork Shoulder Bag

Hand-embroidered with sequins, this Fair Trade patchwork drawstring shoulder bag is made from recycled silk sari material and has been sewn together in patches to create the beautiful effect you can see.

Inside, there is a single compartment, which is fully lined with plain purple silk.

Due to the nature of the recycled materials used, each bag is unique and therefore may differ slightly from the actual image shown.  Please note: the bag is not washable. 

This Fair Trade embroidered recycled silk sari patchwork shoulder bag was handmade in India.

Dimensions - width 22 cm  x  heght 26 cm approx.  The shoulder strap has a drop of 58 cm approx.

Founded in 1998, this organisation based in New Delhi, India carries out most of it`s work with Muslim minorities. They pride themselves on preserving traditional embroidery techniques such as Kantha embroidery, Zardozi and Aari work and use recycleable materials where possible.

There are 150 employees who benefit from provident funds, paid maternity leave and insurance.

Touch of India have also adopted 4 children and now provide for their education and upbringing.
