I am the current Administrator for BAFTS and although the registered office is Oxford, the location is Chelmsford, Essex (where I am based). The Oxford connection, whilst accurate, is the legal ‘office’ not the actual operational office.

Yes, I do, Michael, based on the info I have researched.
It`s always a debateable subject matter, but reports and evidence provided by The Fairtrade Foundation in the UK satisfy me sufficiently that a positive impact is being delivered.

There is video footage of how traditional leather is tanned and articles made in Nepal at Villageleathernepal.blogspot.com which you may find interesting. The filming was done at Sindhukot in 1995.

Thanks for sharing this…..a nice insight into a great initiative. Here in Malaysia there are attempts to reduce the number of plastic bags consumed, but we haven’t seen any initiatives to recycle plastic bags.

We see a lot of potential in recycling…. our dish wash soap made from recycled cooking oil sells well.
