THE FAIR TRADE STORE is proud to be associated with Friends Handicraft which is a small collective of women in the centre of Kathmandu, Nepal. They provide Fair Trade jobs for many disadvantaged women and single mothers, many of whom are the survivors of human trafficking. They are a very caring organisation, who have now extended their support to provide these women with medical benefits including regular health checkups and assistance with education fees for their children.

To promote the start of One World Week, St John`s Church, Birkdale are holding a Fair Trade Coffee Morning on Saturday 17th October, 2009 from 10am -12.00 noon.

Bags and Recycled Fashion
Accessories from around the developing world.
These gifts are not available on the High Street, so this event makes a great opportunity to grab some early Christmas presents, while at the same time, supporting both a local church and business.
The event is free to attend and everyone is welcome to this beautiful, friendly, community church. Easy, free parking is available nearby.
